Disclaimers: The information/ suggestion given was only based on personal experiences and opinions. Your action is on your own!

In every place you visits, there would be food hunting part while exploring the cities or places during you travel or visit.

Kuala Lumpur City has been known as the most crowded and rapidly developing city with the buildings and malls everywhere. Some people found Kuala Lumpur City Centre is the hardest city to find hawker or local foods and that will leads you here. 😉

Unliked other cities, Kuala Lumpur actually compiled all the variety of local foods or hawker foods. You can experience any others local foods from other cities or cultures in Kuala Lumpur only if you know where to find it.... and I will tell you exactly, where you can find them so keep read this....😎🤤🤤

1.   Jalan Alor food street

Jalan Alor is the best place to find hawker or street foods, you can find it all along the Jalan Alor food street at Bukit Bintang. There are lot choices of non - halal foods variety from as early as 9 am till late night at 12 am.

If you are first timer to Jalan Alor food street, it might be a useful information for you to know that from 9 am until 1 pm, the food shops along the street opened for hawker food such as variety of noodles from all over local culture etc. Most of the shops will close around 3 pm to 5 pm, and it will took over by the variety of food restaurant such as seafood, thaifood and else from 5.30 pm till  midnight. Here are some pictures of foods at some store along the Jalan Alor street.

The famous Alor Curry Mee

It is a must to try the curry mee at Restaurant Beh Brothers Jalan Alor which is by far the best curry me I ever tasted. I really loved the mixture of the ingredients they have put into the whole curry mee. The thickness of the curry soup definately will give you want to come back again!! RM8/- per bowl really worth the taste... 😍😍

The famous Alor Fish Head noodle

Instead of the famous curry mee, I also recommend this Fish head noodles at Restoran Gou Lou Jalan Alor. It is a famous fish head noodles along the Alor street. I must say the fish head noodles can be cook in many more recipes, not only that, there are many more soups variety you should give a try!! The sambal pedas hijau definately the best matches for a spicy lovers....

2. Jalan Imbi, Pudu

Besides Jalan Alor, Imbi also one of the best place to eat non - halal food if you come for travel or visit Kuala Lumpur. Jalan Imbi located nearby with Berjaya Times Square Mall, Sungei Wang Plaza, Lowyat Plaza and Lot 10 Mall so if you come all the way before or after the shopping, you should drop by for lunch or dinner at Jalan Imbi.

The famous Bak Kut Teh Imbi

There are lot of places else that you can try the Bak Kut Teh but I personally think this Sun Fong Bak Kut Teh Imbi is like no other place else. The iconic of a Bak Kut Teh depends on how well the pork cooked and how tasty the soup resulted. For sure,  Sun Fong Bak Kut Teh have never failed me everytime I walked in for lunch or dinner. That is why I highly recommended this for everyone.

The restaurant has been known by many not only known on suprerb taste of the Bak Kut Teh, it is also a tourist attraction and many tour guide recommended this place for the tourist.

The Best of Imbi Prawn Dumpling

This prawn dumpling should give a credit to Restaurant Pau Kee Imbi. They have been in the business and have made the best of the prawn dumpling for 10 years. Every piece of it is very fresh and delicious. Though, if you are straving for rice instead of noodles or dumpling kind of, you also should try the chicken rice and the dishes they have. For vege lovers like me, you must try the Four Season vegetable because they fried it like no others restaurant did that make it as a signature of their own recipes. Everything just perfecto!

3. Best of Borneo foods in Cheras

If you are a traveller/ visitor that have never been to any land in Borneo East Malaysia (Sarawak or Sabah), even in Kuala Lumpur you still can try the Borneo foods variety ( non- halal) at Restoren Rumah Asap Borneo located in Cheras. There are lot of Borneo foods especially Sarawak foods . Here are list of Borneo food you definately shoud give a try:-

2. Laksa Sarawak
3. Manok Pansuh
4. Cangkuk manis goreng telur

7. Kasam Babi
8. Tumpik (Penjaram)
9. Umbai
......and etc

4. Best of  Char Kuey Teow in Brickfields

As you knew, Char Keoy Toew is a famous dish originated in Penang Island, Malaysia and loved by every races and places in Malaysia. You might only knew that Char Keoy Toew best cooked in its origin place, in Penang. No doubt that!!!

However, in Kuala Lumpur you still can found the best taste of the Char Keoy Teow is at One Sentral Brickfield food court.  Its nicely fried with sprouts, shrimps, bacoons, chrispy chicharons and shell-fish (isi kerang)... I loved every bite of the Char Koey Teow there ... I have tried many restaurant/ hawker foods store that fried Char Koey Teow but like I said, none other can compete better than this food court did!!!! 🤤🤤

5. The best of Ampang home-made Fishball with Hakka noodles

Hakka mien or Hakka noodles is best match with fresh home-made fishball. The fishball made by non-additional flavour and only use original machete. It is a family tradition from a Hakka family generation that made the fishball by handmade and only sell it in the restaurant as a dish. Believe it or not, I can eat like 15 pieces of the fishballs in a meal because it is taste nice and fresh!! So, you also should try them and tell me how many pieces do you have eaten.😂😛

6. The Best Mongolian BBQ

You will definately agree with me that Mongolia have the best recipes for its BBQ ingredients once you try them. Despite of the traffic jammed, there are the best food taste that you should go for which is at Restoren M&G BBQ Ampang. Even if it located in Selangor but it is nearby with Kuala Lumpur and you can just drive or take Uber/Grabcar to go there from Kuala Lumpur.
